Make Your Hands Look Younger!
There a many techniques to help rejuvenate the hands including lasers, chemical peels and fillers. Fillers can be injected under the skin of the hand to plump up the skin to help hide veins and tendons. Synthetic fillers such as Radiesse can be used with great success. Also, fat can be harvested from other parts of the body and injected under the skin in the hands.
Below is an example of Radiesse injection in the hand in one of our patients. For more

Botox Treatments Can Greatly Decrease Frown Lines in the Forehead and Brow Areas
Reasons for Considering a Botox Treatment:
- Excessive facial wrinkles.
- Large wrinkles or furrows in your forehead.
- Small wrinkles or “crow’s feet” around your eyes.
- A vertical “frown line” between your eyebrows.
General Procedure
The procedure works by altering the facial muscles beneath the skin that are related to wrinkles. A cream with local anesthetic will be placed on your skin prior to treatment, and ice will be immediately applied upon completion of the Botox® treatment. The amount of Botox used for each treatment can vary with each patient and also depends on the number of areas of the face that is treated. Botox® works by blocking the impulses from the nerve to the facial muscles, thereby relaxing them. The result is the underlying facial muscles relax and the skin begins to smooth out. The effects of a Botox® treatment will last approximately three to six months after which the patient may choose to repeat the procedure.
Recovery Process
Patients generally return to their normal activities immediately after the procedure, however following the post-procedure guidelines will dramatically reduce the length and intensity of the recovery period. Patients should avoid engaging in heavy physical exercise, applying cosmetics, or laying down flat for a minimum of 4 hours after the injections. It is also advisable to avoid rubbing or massaging the injected area for at least 24 hours.

Decreasing the Depth of Your Smile Lines
Patients who do not yet need a face lift but still wish to decrease the depth of their smile lines may choose non-surgical treatment with injectable tissue fillers such as Radiesse or Juvederm. These products are injected under the skin in the area of the deep smile lines. They help diminsh these lines by filling in the crease. The procedure is usually performed in the office with topical anesthetic gels or a dental block. Additionally, products such as Radiesse can last up to one year. This may be a great alternative for patients who want to look younger without having surgery.
Below is an example of a patient treated with Radiesse to decrease the depth of her smile lines and help rejuvenate the face. Please see our website www.DrJohnNguyen.com for more examples. John T. Nguyen, MD
